Jamie Cipollina
Gymnasium Equipment Division

Jamie has been a sales representative in the Gym Equipment Division for 10 years now and thrives on the constant action. Each day provides Jamie with a uniquely different challenge and an opportunity to exceed both his personal best and industry standards of customer service. "I absolutely love the thrill of a new client turned raving YES fan for life."

One of Jamie's fondest memories was the prestigious chance to coordinate the renovation of the massive 5,000 seat Lou Carnesecca Arena at St. John's University. Fitted with both fixed and telescoping bleachers by Interkal, this project was a prime example of the YES' flawless work and the premium quality of their product line. In fact their product line is so comprehensive, it includes everything needed, from All American scoreboards to Spaulding gym equipment, to completely outfit your next project.

Laurie Sheerin
Business Development

Laurie Sheerin has worked as the head of Business Development on Long Island for almost two years. Laurie had to put in a lot of hard work to get her first break with her clients, but she says it was all worth it. "It was such a great feeling when I finally got through the door!" says Laurie, "it made all of the effort worth it!" Laurie enjoys meeting new people and developing relationships with new customers every day.

Jane Anne Carelli
Business Development and Sales Representative, Westchester and above
How long have you been with YES: Over 5 years
What do you enjoy about your job?:
The relationships that are made both within the company, and as part of each day. I love that each day is different and when faced with an obstacle, our team has an all hands on deck kind of support to work together and reach a solution. We are passionate about what we do and our company and it shows.
Memorable experience while at YES:
I have a lot of great stories that are memorable.
The company bbq where Jamie and I catered was a classic!
The people I've met through work that I have come to treasure as friends.
Most recently we were given a cafeteria and under 6 weeks to renovate seating for 400 including booths and built ins. There was no time to have manufacturer's design it, so we did it ourselves in an afternoon! The colors and textures were so beautiful, the manufacturer called to say they would start putting the colors together in their designs! End result: The district and the kids just love their new cafeteria. Another job well done for YES

Cathy Schombs
Administrative Assistant

Cathy has been an administrative assistant with YES for 12 years and has loved every minute of it. "My job is never boring!" says Cathy. "Everyday brings a new adventure and many challenges come my way.

What does she love most about being with YES? The support offered by her fellow team members. "I have many memories [from working at YES] that will be with me forever.  Many good, some bad.  My most memorable experience was the kindness and support from everyone when my son had his stroke and his recovery."

Annie Goldman
Administrative Assistant

Annie has been an administrative assistant with YES for 9 years. "Interacting with our customers and vendors everyday is a lot of fun," says Annie. "We have the best staff to work with, and I love that whenever one of our staff (family) has a problem or a family situation, everyone rallies around them and helps out."

Colleen Mannix
Assistant to the Director of Service & Repairs

Colleen has been with YES since January of 2011, and serves as the Assistant to the Director of Service & Repairs. Colleen takes pride in being able to identify and create solutions for the problems that come her way. "I get a real sense of accomplishment when someone needs my help, and I'm able to get them through whatever it is they're working on. And I absolutely love the relationships I've built with my co-workers. We work and play - we laugh more than argue."

Colleen's biggest hurdle at her job is explaining the repair process to her clients. What people may not realize within the Service & Repairs Division it really is the manufacturers of the product you are ordering that is holding up the completion of a job, not us.  We would love to help you within a reasonable amount of time but sometimes that is out of our control.

Jill Oppedisano
Administrative and Marketing Assistant

Jill has been an administrative and marketing assistant with YES for almost 4 years, and enjoys both the interactivity with her co-workers, and the creative opportunities she finds on a daily basis. One of Jill's favorite parts about being a member of the YES family is how interconnected she is with her co-workers both in, and out of work. "When I needed to move out of my apartment, everyone rallied around me and helped, like a family would."

Erik Rappel
Director of Theatre Services

Erik is responsible for the Sales, Specification and Installation of Auditorium Seating, Lighting and Sound, Stage Draperies, Stage Rigging, Safety Inspections Choral Risers and many other associated products and services.

Steve Happe
Line Leader for Lockers and Casework

Steve has been with YES for just over a year, and works as a Line Leader for lockers and casework. The opportunity to be a creative problem solver for his clients is what motivates him on a daily basis. Since his initial interview, Steve says working with the people at YES has made him feel wanted, and like a valued member of the team, and he looks forward to offering locker solutions to new customers. "You'd be surprised, there are lockers everywhere, not just gyms and schools," says Steve.

Harriet Wilson
Director of School Furnishings

Harriet has been with YES for 13 years, serving as the Director of Educational Services, and she absolutely loves what she does. Making customers happy and finding solutions for their needs keeps her going day after day. "I love getting calls of delight from my customers," says Harriet. "Sometimes I'll suggest that they try a different manufacturer, and they'll be hesitant, but in the end, they trust my judgement. Once the product is delivered and everyone loves it, I always hear back about how happy they are with the new items and how my products are superior to what they'd been using in the past."

Dennis Schwandtner
Director of Service and Repairs

Dennis has been with yes for 11 years, as the Director of Service and Repairs. The ability to be an entrepreneur, and the creative challenges he faces daily are Dennis' favorite parts about the job. Dennis cites honesty and integrity as two of the most important traits YES has instilled in him as a worker. "Many years ago, a customer called for a quote asking us to move 88 lockers, but after looking at them, I saw that there were really only 44 frames involved. When I showed Rich the quote, he explained that the best solution was to revise the quote, and give the client the best price possible. The people at YES are always putting people before profits and I really like that about this company. We even do some work for that school district at no charge, YES is just that kind of place."
